We all exist in family trees. There are the roots which carry our DNA and where we find ourselves in the world, the leaves are the burdens which we inherit from our elders, and the fruits are the gifts which they also hand down to us.
Manpreet shares experiences of intergenerational transmission and shows us that it is possible to ‘leave’ the burdens behind by exploring our roots and and revealing the sweetest of fruits.
Manpreet is a Chartered Psychologist with a rich background in clinical and academic settings. She runs an independent therapy and consultancy practice, specialising in behavioural addictions and intergenerational trauma. Manpreet is on a mission to decolonise therapy, challenging traditional norms and advocating for public engagement with psychological interventions. Her activism extends to promoting fairness in multigenerational living, addressing the impact of transgenerational trauma.
