Video coming soon…

Medical schools teach their students to look out for rashes, redness and pustules as potential symptoms of dangerous diseases such as meningitis and Strep A. But what about if the patient had darker skin? Naabil Khan is a medical student ready to change the way we teach, diagnose and understand skin and skin tones in the clinic room. The symptoms and experiences of patients with darker skin should not be treated like an afterthought. Representation starts with education.

Naabil is a passionate fourth-year medical student at the University of Exeter, committed to enhancing diversity and representation in healthcare. As the host of the podcast Very Junior Doctors and creator of the award-winning website Skin For All, Naabil has become a prominent voice for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities. Naabil’s dedication extends beyond her studies, as she actively engages audiences through her self-published book and impactful presentations across the UK, inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders.
